Byron Bay Schoolies

So we have arrived in Byron Bay after a long and uncomfortable night bus ride. Feeling pretty shattered as I've not recovered from our intense few days in Sydney and night flights from Bali.
The schools have now broken up for  summer! Apparently this means a mini spring break for the local 18 year olds. Kids everywhere!
We check into our hostel which is on the beach front cracking views down the beach and most Eastern point of Australia.  We soaked up the local view points by taking a walk along the coast and up to the lighthouse (the most Eastern point of Australia). We were luckily enough to spot dolphins and sea turtles swiming off the coast. This has prompted quite an obbsession with Sam as you will find out in other posts.
A trip to Byron Bay wouldn't be complete with out a night out in Cheeky Monkeys. Standard dancing on the tables and cheesey tunes!
We spent a day recovering on the beach and dipped our feet in the cold sea. Wet suits next time!

We have booked all our tours in for the East coast including a Whitsunday sailing trip and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.
No time to rest as we set off to Surfers Paradise!

I loved this hippy lil town. It's so fun. It had a beach, cute cafe's and shops, good night life, free dinners and wild dolphins.

On one of our nights out we joined in with the free salsa. Unfortunately we missed the class so every one around us were pro's. It was funny seeing Cj's moves.

Seeing the clan of dolphins was amazing. They were hanging around by the cliff for a while before making their way out to see, jumping through the waters.

I was actually quite sad to leave Byron Bay.
